Bio

Grzegorz Cenkier is a contract lecturer in postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics. He has gained extensive experience in the field of information technology over the course of his more than thirty-year professional career. He holds a degree from the University of Warsaw and has pursued further studies at the Cracow University of Economics. Upon completion of his studies, he seized the opportunity to work at a number of highly regarded institutions, including the Warsaw University of Technology and the Institute of Computer Science at the Polish Academy of Sciences. Additionally, he has gained invaluable experience in financial institutions and within the international UN system. He is a regular contributor to professional journals. He has delivered presentations at numerous scientific conferences in Poland, Europe, and the United States.  He is also taking part in a number of European Union projects. He is a highly valued contributor to the ISO/TC307 and CEN/CENELEC working groups on blockchain technology. He is also a member of the CEN/CENELEC Steering Group on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and a representative on PKN Technical Committee 333 on blockchain technology and distributed registries. He is a member of the Chamber of Experts of the Polish Information Technology Association (PTI), a board member of ISSA Poland, and a member of the ISSA International Awards Committee. He is also certified as an ISO/IEC 27001, 27002, and 27006 auditor.
