Christian Yepsen is a Researcher at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (UC Chile), where he leads and coordinates international projects within the “Program of Law, Science and Technology UC”, focusing on Law and Technology projects. He also teaches courses as a lecturer on Sensitive Data, Startup Creation, and New Technologies Applied to Litigation at the same faculty.

He leads the design of cybersecurity incident simulations to test and validate the implementation of standards and regulations such as NIST 800, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA, collaborating with over 20 institutions considered critical infrastructure or essential services in Chile and across Latin America.

Christian, holds a Law Degree (JD Equivalent) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and a postgraduate diploma in Personal Data Protection from the same university, graduating top of his class. He also holds certifications in cybersecurity (ISC2) and cloud computing (AWS).

He has participated in securing over five international grants in areas related to privacy, cybersecurity, and the use of social media in combating disinformation, with collaborations involving the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Embassy, European Union, Republic of South Korea, Chilean Special Forces and the Chilean Army.
