Lauriane Aufrant is a PhD in Natural Language Processing and actively involved in AI standardisation at ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42 and CEN-CENELEC JTC 21. She serves in various officer roles, as Convenor of SC 42's Joint Working Group on NLP, multiple editorships, and liaison officer responsibilities with other committees. Part of her involvement aims at facilitating cross-committee interactions, especially with her Joint Working Group's partner committee ISO/TC 37, or between the ISO and CEN levels as an Editor of a work item under the ISO-CEN Vienna Agreement. She has participated in drafting dozens of standardisation deliverables, including substantial work on the harmonised standards being developed in support of the EU AI Act, and their interplay. Lauriane has been a StandICT.eu Fellow since 2022.
