Abstract

Currently, polypropylene (PP5) production generates 56 million metric tons per year. Only three percent gets recycled. Plastiks offers sustainable solutions to plastic pollution, generating digital certificates to track the amount and type of plastic recovered, along with the date and stakeholders involved. Plastiks certificates utilise the capabilities of blockchain to go beyond traditional plastic credits by promoting recycling but also generating funds that enhance infrastructure and expand recovery operations. Plastiks is turning plastic recovery into a tangible, driven, and impactful solution that paves the way to a sustainable future.

Value Proposition

Plastiks facilitates widespread operational capacity for plastic recovery and recycling, creating transparency for the entities and processes involved. Creating comprehensive reports and providing granular evidence of compliance with local environmental regulations. Pooling externally validated certifications, permits, and affiliations that attest to the entity’s qualifications and recognising those Environmental Management Systems, e.g. ISO 14001:2015 that add value to the system.
