European Blockchain Circumnavigation - Speeding Blockchain adoption in Europe
Purpose & Scope
Blockchain is rapidly changing the future of translation based technologies, paving the way into a new reality where people live, work and interact with each other. It will underpin the future of digital transformation across the whole economy, namely in Europe. In order to become in the frontline of Blockchain and Web3 technology, Europe needs to join efforts collectively, in different but complementary aspects, to create a robust and innovative blockchain ecosystem in Europe, driving economic growth and technological advancement. The region needs to explore how blockchain technologies can tackle social and environmental challenges through multistakeholder engagement.
This webinar brings together experts from all Europe to share how they are unlocking blockchain and Web3 in different European regions through strategic line of actions.
From North Europe, the webinar will count with the Nordic Blockchain Association, which will present the main goals the association has for 2025 in Blockchain and Web3. Still from the Nordics, we will move to the entrepreneurial example of Traced Systems, a Danish SME focused on blockchain-powered Digital Product Passport, that was born thanks to the collaboration of European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) and Chromaway (from Sweden) thanks to the European Blockchain Pre-Commercial Procurement.
From Central Europe, we will learn from the Slovenian Ministry of Economic Development & Technology, which is dedicated to making Slovenia among the top five European nations in digital technology use, particularly in blockchain technology. The country in the last years launched a national test blockchain infrastructure and Slovenian Blockchain partnership, to enable testing of existing and new blockchain applications for the public and private sector.
Going to Western Europe, we will hear from BlockW, an Irish Initiative dedicated to fostering inclusivity in the Blockchain sector across genders, ages and societal barriers. Insights related to Blockchain Ireland and INATBA are addressing the growing demand for blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) skills in Europe though education and skills will be shared.
From a cross-European level, we will close with the European Crypto Initiative to illustrate how they are shaping EU regulation on favouring open, permissionless, decentralised applications leveraging blockchain technologies.
