Description
BlockStand.eu is driving Europe’s strategic autonomy and global leadership in blockchain standardisation. The initiative ensures that blockchain standards adopted internationally reflect European values, fostering technological innovation aligned with the EU’s priorities. Through education policies and strategic implementation measures, BlockStand strengthens Europe’s influence on critical digital infrastructure.
In collaboration with BlockStand, SEEBLOCKS.eu enhances community engagement through joint efforts, such as webinars aimed at connecting stakeholders like the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI), the European Blockchain Partnership (EBP), and the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum. Together, the projects work to align blockchain standardisation with Europe’s industrial and educational priorities, propelling the region toward a resilient and value-driven digital future.
SEEBLOCKS.eu and BLOCKSTAND organised together the "European Blockchain Standardisation Day, by Seeblocks & BlockStand", an event part of the ISO TC307 plenary taking place in Brussels. The event was composed of panel discussions and working discussions, will reflect on the achievements, challenges, and future pathways for blockchain innovation and standardisation in Europe, on a wide range of topics such as Digital Wallets, Digital Product Passport, Digital Finance, Auditing of DLTs, Privacy and Security, Environmental, Social and Governance in blockchain, amongst others.
BLOCKSTAND also had an active role in SEEBLOCKS.eu final event “How the DEP project SEEBLOCKS.eu has impacted European Blockchain/DLT Standardisation”. A BLOCKSTAND representative shared insights from European blockchain standardisation and how Europe can collaborate with other continents in developing blockchain standards that will bring global benefits.
