Description

The European Crypto Initiative aims to shape EU regulation to favour open, permissionless, decentralised applications leveraging blockchain technology. EUCI experts in blockchain technology and more specifically decentralised use-cases constructively contribute to the development of European Union policy that ensures a well-informed, appropriate and positive approach to the regulatory treatment of decentralized use cases, open blockchains and permissionless innovation.

EUCI invited SEEBLOCKS.eu to be a speaker to their LinkedIn Live Event entitled “Setting the Standard - Europe's Strategy in Blockchain and DLT”, where SEEBLOCKS.eu discussed the importance of Standardisation in general as an alternative to regulation, capable of ensuring innovation, security and compliance. EUCI also promoted networking between SEEBCLOKS.eu and players based in the USA.

EUCI also will have an active role in SEEBLOCKS.eu events, namely on the webinar “European Blockchain Circumnavigation Ensuring consumer data protection through Blockchain and DLT Standardisation” and the SEEBLOCKS.eu final event “How the DEP project SEEBLOCKS.eu has impacted European Blockchain/DLT Standardisation”. EUCI participation was focused on how it is  shaping EU regulation on favouring open, permissionless, decentralised applications leveraging blockchain technologies, as well as what are the most urgent standardization needs to bring IT innovation in an interconnected economic ecosystem and how blockchain can capitalise on them, to support the evolution of the digital landscape.

A representative of EUCI also joined the SEEBLOCKS.eu Strategy Board, to give strategic advice to the project and support in its activities.
