Description

HSbooster.eu, a 30-month European Commission initiative, serves as the European Standardisation Booster, providing expert services to European projects to enhance and valorise their results through contributions to the creation or revision of standards. This initiative plays a crucial role in facilitating dialogue between Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe Research & Innovation projects and the standardisation landscape, including key Standard Development Organizations (SDOs). The primary goal is to increase European impact on international standardisation efforts and strengthen European competitiveness.

The collaboration between SEEBLOCKS.eu and HSbooster.eu has already yielded several key activities. Notably, HSbooster.eu's teaching material has been integrated into SEEBLOCKS.eu's Standards Visualisation Tool, enhancing its educational value. There are also plans to potentially incorporate HSbooster.eu's good teaching practices into SEEBLOCKS.eu's teaching modules, further enriching the educational offerings. The partnership was showcased through a joint webinar held on March 7, 2024, demonstrating their collaborative efforts to the wider community.

This synergy not only enhances the visibility and impact of both projects but also contributes significantly to the broader goal of strengthening European standardisation efforts. By combining HSbooster.eu's expertise in guiding R&I projects towards effective standardisation contributions with SEEBLOCKS.eu's focus on blockchain standardisation and education, this collaboration creates a more comprehensive approach to standardisation in Europe. It fosters knowledge sharing, promotes best practices, and ultimately aims to increase the influence of European research and innovation on international standardisation processes.

HSBooster Coordinator was a panelist in the SEEBLOCKS.eu workshop in USA, entitled "A Transformative Power for a Transatlantic Digital Posterity", during the SES Conference 2025. HSBooster presented the overall efforts being done in Europe to advance standardisation activities in the first panel, while on the second panel focused on joint innovation between Europe and USA in Blockchain Standardisation, HSBooster was the moderator.

HSBooster also had an active role in SEEBLOCKS.eu final event “How the DEP project SEEBLOCKS.eu has impacted European Blockchain/DLT Standardisation”. A HSBooster representative shared insights about standardisation needs and training from an European perspective.
